you dream of colors that have never been made
taken the day after our school’s chalkfest. believe it or not, this one is SOOC (straight out of camera!) i have been playing lots with my new D60 (thanks to the ever amazing fiancé-drop him a line and tell him how great his taste in cameras is!) which has opened up a whole new can of worms-fun focusing experiments, weird angles, and the like. expect to see more soon!

new beginnings.
last week was a crazy rollercoaster of emotions, and i found myself just striving to make it to the weekend. turns out, the weekend was a little crazy too, but in the best way possible. on saturday, around 9 AM, the most amazing man in the world asked me to marry him, and i said yes! here are a couple of photos from the weekend.
a recreation of the proposal, right after it happened. yes, the ring box is upside down…because that is what happened the first time. how adorable is he? 
we walked around asheville a bit, just trying to savor the moment. we were still in disbelief…i still am!

a new dress.
life is changing in many ways, and this blog is one thing that has fallen out of focus. at the urging of a dear friend, i do want to start utilizing it again. in order to keep things interesting, however, i think i will change things up a little.
1. i will endeavor to post at least one picture whenever i can, whether that be once a day or once every couple of days or even once an hour.
2. i am lifting my self-imposed “no editing/SOOC” rule, if only because i have found renewed creativity using photoshop. i will, however, only do this to pictures i myself take.
3. have fun. this has felt laborious at times, and i never EVER want to lose my love for being behind the viewfinder. if this begins to happen, i promise myself that i will shut this site down.
