broadening horizons

my friend mel suggested i start a photo-a-day blog to help expand my photography skills (and give her something to look at while at work)

so i am going to try it out for a year, starting yesterday.we’ll see how it goes.

rules: 

1.  at least one photo must be posted per day.
2. the same subject cannot be used on consecutive days.
3. all photos will also reside on my flickr account, divided into month sets.
4. no major tweaking (only cropping or things that can be done directly on my camera)

here goes nothing.
